What About Education And Animal Welfare?

HGRA encourages our members to participate in rodeo events. We try to educate these competitors through workshops and exhibition events. The men and women of IGRA learn to help teach others to maintain a healthy respect for our rodeo animals.

This is essential to the continued success of the rodeo. In our statement regarding animal welfare we promote animal safety and the humane, responsible treatment of animals in their housing, feeding, training, exercising and competition.

We strive to assure that our events are purposefully tailored and executed to provide animal and human participants the safest environment possible and shall act to immediately disqualify or reprimand any contestant, official or contracted personnel found to be treating animals in an inhumane manner.
